01 Privacy at a glance

General information

The following notes give a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. We collect data both when you actively provide it to us (for example via a contact form) and automatically through our IT systems when you view the site (mainly technical data such as your browser, operating system and the time of access).

How we collect your data

Some data is collected when you provide it to us – for example data you enter in a contact form. Other data is collected automatically or after your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website, such as browser type, operating system and the time the page was requested.

What we use your data for

Part of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse how visitors use the site, always within the limits described below.

02 General notes and mandatory information

Data protection

We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations (in particular the GDPR) and this privacy policy. When you use this website, various pieces of personal data are collected. We explain below what data we collect and how we use it.

Storage period

Unless a specific storage period is stated in this policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you make a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it.

Legal bases

Where you have consented to processing, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where data is required to fulfil a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures, we rely on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In addition, we process data where necessary to protect our legitimate interests on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Withdrawal of your consent

Many processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time by an informal message to us by email. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation.

Right to lodge a complaint

If there has been a breach of data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In France this is the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés).

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.

SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in the address bar and the lock symbol in your browser.

Information, correction and deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of processing, and, where applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given above.

Objection to promotional emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of our legal-notice obligations for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example via spam emails.

03 Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your browser stores on your device. Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your visit; persistent cookies remain on your device until you delete them and allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude them in certain cases or generally, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. Cookies that are required for the technically error-free provision of the website are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. It is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure the correct operation of the website.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via a contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provide, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. This data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). It remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies.

04 Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

This website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It uses cookies that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to analyse and optimise both the website and advertising.

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Ads and conversion tracking

This website may use Google Ads with conversion tracking. A cookie (valid for 30 days) is set when you click on an ad served by Google, in order to measure conversions. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can deactivate this tracking through your browser settings.

Google reCAPTCHA

We may use Google reCAPTCHA to check whether data entered on this website (for example in a form) is made by a human or by an automated program. reCAPTCHA analyses visitor behaviour based on various characteristics such as the IP address, the time spent on the website and mouse movements. This data is forwarded to Google. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

05 Newsletter

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. This data is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter. The data stored for the purpose of the newsletter subscription will be deleted after you unsubscribe.

We send our newsletter using MailerLite. The data you provide on subscribing is stored on MailerLite’s servers for the purpose of sending and evaluating the newsletter. Where data is processed outside the EU, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards (EU standard contractual clauses). Further details can be found in MailerLite’s own privacy policy.
